San Francisco collects billions in taxes every year. Its residents are among the most productive, creative, and civic-minded people in the world. And yet the city cannot seem to do the most basic thing a government is supposed to do: make it possible for working people to afford a home.
The reason is not a mystery. It is bureaucracy. It is red tape. It is a city government where nobody is accountable, nothing gets built on time, and every project costs twice what it should. While politicians argue and shuffle papers, rents keep climbing.
Real structural reform can change this — fundamentally and permanently. Cutting red tape, creating accountability, and giving city leaders the tools to actually do their jobs. That is what this campaign is demanding.

San Francisco, 2026. The signs say it all.
This campaign stands for three specific, concrete changes to how San Francisco is governed. These are not abstract ideas — they are the structural reforms that will determine whether this city can ever build enough housing for the people who need it.
Politicians should not be able to dump confusing measures on our ballot without full public debate and a proper Board majority vote. We demand a transparent, accountable ballot process that serves voters — not political insiders.
Every affordable housing project in this city takes years longer and costs millions more than it should. Outdated contracting rules, bureaucratic approvals, and endless delays are a choice — not an inevitability. We demand the city streamline its systems so housing actually gets built.
When a city department fails to deliver on housing, nobody is held responsible. That has to end. We demand real consequences for failure and real authority for leaders who are willing to do the work. Accountability is how results happen.
Signing this petition costs you nothing. It takes 30 seconds. And it sends a direct message to City Hall that San Franciscans are done waiting for affordable housing.
Every signature is a vote of no confidence in the bureaucratic dysfunction that has made this city unaffordable — and a demand that city leaders finally do their jobs.
